Putnam Investments receives #1 ranking for 401(k) Plan Sponsor website
kasina Study also Names Putnam as a Top Website for Plan Participants
BOSTON, March 5, 2014 — Putnam Investments has been ranked the #1 website for defined contribution plan sponsors in a new study by kasina, a well-regarded financial services research and consulting firm. In addition, Putnam's website for 401(k) plan participants was rated in the top three industry-wide by kasina in a companion study.

kasina's plan sponsor study, Enhancing DC Plan Sponsor Websites to Increase Workforce Retirement Readiness, evaluates practices at websites used by sponsors of 401(k), 403(b) and other retirement plans. The companion study from kasina, Optimizing DC Plan Participant Websites to Boost Retirement Preparedness, evaluated retirement plan participant sites on how they helped users stay on track to achieve their retirement income goals. Putnam, ranked #3 in this study, was cited for its proprietary Lifetime Income Analysis ToolSM, which projects plan participants' current savings into future estimated monthly retirement income, calculates whether they are on track to generate the income they are likely to need once they stop working and offers actionable steps to increase savings. The kasina study noted that Putnam's Health Cost Estimator "shows the impact that healthcare costs in retirement will have on monthly income" and that Putnam provides insights and recommended action based on its analysis of plan participants' goals and current status.
