Whether you’re looking to replace a fund, or to complement an existing one in your client’s portfolio, FundVisualizer’s Explorer is a unique and dynamic tool to help you to discover those new investment opportunities.
In the search box, start by entering a fund’s name or ticker, or a Morningstar category. Searching by name or ticker will return the top 20 performing funds in the same share class and Morningstar category as your reference fund. Searching by category will return the top 20 performing funds in that category, defaulted to the “Instl” share class.
At the top of the screen, use the toggle to switch between a bubble chart, bar chart, or table view.
Here is where the real power of the Explorer comes into play. The filters on the left provide an intuitive, interactive way to narrow down the results. Change any of the risk or performance filters, and the screen will redraw to show the new results.
At any time, you can add a fund to a comparison, view more details, or make that fund the new reference fund simply by clicking the circle.
