What browser should I be using?
To access this Web site, you must have either Internet Explorer 6 or higher, or Mozilla Firefox 1.5 or higher. To download a free copy of Internet Explorer, visit www.microsoft.com; to download a free copy of Mozilla Firefox, visit www.mozilla.org.

Why does the information I see on the site seem outdated?
If you believe you are viewing old information, your browser software has probably stored old pages on your hard drive and is retrieving those instead of the newer pages on Putnam's Web site. This is called "caching." To download the most recent version of a page, click the RELOAD or REFRESH button on your browser.

My computer screen doesn't show the entire page. Is the Web page formatted correctly?
If you cannot view an entire Web page or if the content appears "jammed together," it is probably due to the resolution, not our page layout. The way your monitor is set up dictates how our Web page is displayed. This is called the resolution (i.e., the lower the resolution, the larger the image on the screen.) This can affect how you see the Web site, because the Web browser changes the page's contents to display it properly.

Putnam designs its web sites to display optimally at 800 x 600 resolution or higher. If your monitor is set to a resolution lower than 800 x 600, you will need to change your screen resolution so it will better accommodate the page content; however, on some computers the screen resolution can't be changed. Please refer to your computer manual or call the manufacturer's customer service line for further instructions.

What are cookies and how does Putnam use them?
A cookie is a small text file created by a Web Page server and stored on a user’s computer. Cookies are used to provide user-side Web site customization.

Putnam uses login ID cookies to save customer login information. This occurs when customers opt (typically through a check box under the User ID field on a site login screen) to have that information saved in order to customize their Web experience. This information is only stored if the user opts to have it stored and if it is not erased when the user ends the session.

Putnam also uses temporary session cookies on all of its secure Web sites to store relevant session content such as an assigned user ID, so you can move between areas of a secure site. If your browser informs you that we are trying to set a cookie, let it. It will be erased when you end the session.

What will happen if you disable cookies and how can you enable cookies if they have been turned off?
Putnam uses cookies to save customer login information. This occurs when customers opt to have that information saved in order to customize their Web experience. If a customer chooses to change Web browser settings to disable or not accept the cookies, it will affect these features.

Web browsers typically have cookies enabled by default. If cookies are disabled in Netscape Navigator they can generally be enabled through the following steps:

1. Click on the "Preferences" menu
2. Click on the "Advanced" Category on the left side of the "Preferences" window
3. Select the "Accept all cookies" button
4. Click on OK

In Internet Explorer cookies can generally be enabled through the following steps:

1. Click on the "Tools" menu
2. Click on "Internet Options"
3. Click on the tab that says "Security"
4. Click on the "Internet" globe icon
5. Click on the "Custom Level" button
6. In the window that opens scroll to the section "Allow Cookies that are stored on your computer" and choose "enable"
7. Click on OK
