Putnam's consolidated Form 1099-Div lists all taxable dividends, exempt interest dividends, and qualified dividends. It will also list capital gain distributions, nondividend distributions, federal and state income tax withheld, foreign tax paid and specified private bond activity. The dividends and capital gains shown on Form 1099-DIV are considered taxable even if you reinvested your distributions in additional fund shares instead of receiving them in cash. Form 1099-DIV is reported to the IRS. Please consult your tax advisor or state tax authority regarding the tax treatment of dividends, including income from U.S. Treasury obligations. Putnam's consolidated Form 1099-B lists all sell or exchange transactions from your non-Money Market mutual fund shares. Form 1099-B also reports any federal income tax withheld because of the backup withholding requirements. W-8 Certification

Certificate of Foreign Status

If you have recently received a Form W-8BEN in the mail you need to certify your foreign status with Putnam Investments. For most account types this would be Form W-8BEN. See the complete list of W-8 Forms and instructions below.

Due to Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations, Putnam is required to receive Form W-8BEN for each foreign beneficial owner listed on the account. If you or any owner of the account is a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Resident Alien, a Form W-9 is required.

If Putnam does not receive this fully completed form, your account(s) could be subject to the statutory U.S. backup withholding rate on all non-Money Market redemptions, exchanges, and dividend and capitals gains distributions. In addition, you also need to complete this form to qualify for a reduced foreign withholding treaty rate.

W-9 Certification

Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification

If you have received a Form W-9 in the mail, you need to provide and/or certify your Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) with Putnam Investments. For most account types this would be your social security number. If you are not sure which TIN to provide, please refer to the below IRS Specific Instructions For Providing The Correct TIN.

Due to Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations, Putnam is required to receive a Form W-9 for your account. If you are not a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Resident Alien, a Form W-8BEN is required.

If Putnam does not receive a completed Form W-9, your account(s) will be subject to the statutory U.S. backup withholding rate on all non-Money Market redemptions, exchanges, and dividend and capitals gains distributions until your form is provided. To obtain another form, you may use the below Putnam Substitute Form W-9.
