William J. Monroe, CFA
Portfolio Manager
Mr. Monroe is the Portfolio Manager of Putnam Small Cap Growth Fund and related separately managed
accounts. He is responsible for the overall strategy and positioning of Putnam's small-cap growth
strategy. Previously at Putnam, Mr. Monroe was an Analyst in the Equity Research group. He was
responsible for conducting fundamental analysis and valuation of small- and mid-cap companies in the
industrials sector and making buy/sell recommendations. Mr. Monroe joined Putnam in 2012 and has
been in the investment industry since 1996.
